Tonight the much-anticipated teaser trailer for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire premiered on the MTV Movie Awards. The teaser features lots of action and scenes that readers of the books will recognize.
Lasting almost two and half minutes the teaser does a successful job of pumping up audiences for the movie set for release this coming November, which again stars Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen along with Josh Hutcherson, and Liam Hemsworth.

TVLine is reporting that Sarah Michelle Gellar best known for her role as Buffy in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and in the recently cancelled Ringer as a set of twins, could be joining a half hour comedy pilot about what kids do when their parents aren’t around, with SMG as the lead mother/wife. The last episode of All My Children aired in September 2011, and the last episode of One Life to Live in January of last year, but both shows are coming back. Each show originally ran for over 40 years, but were cancelled as the soap opera genre is now dying (there are currently only four daytime soaps left on the air, including General Hospital, Days of our Lives, The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful.

Several big trailers were released this week. First off, the one I’m most excited to see Man of Steel. The Superman reboot and potetial first in a line of movies produced by DC Movies as part of their Justice League franchise, stars British actor Henry Cavill as Clark Kent, as well as Russell Crow and Amy Adams. The new trailer provides a lot more footage than the first, and gives a bit more plot information for what will be a much darker version of Superman than we have seen in previous movies. Today was a big day for Star Trek fans. Today was the release of the first teaser trailer for the movie set to be released on May 17, 2013. The teaser is just over a minute long (hence why the call it a teaser I guess), but features some scenes that makes it appear the movie will have some pretty intense action and drama. The full trailer will not be released until next Friday before each showing of The Hobbit in theaters.

Along with lots of news being dropped this week for the upcoming Justice League movie (the biggest news being Joseph Gordon Levitt being announced as the new Batman…though reps are now saying that it is not true), comes a new poster for Man of Steel the Superman reboot directed by Zack Snyder. The reboot is possibly going to be the first lead-in (unless the end of Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy counts) to the Justice League movie being released in 2015. The poster was released after a campaign held on Facebook and soon spread all over the web, and features Superman in handcuffs surrounded by soldiers.
