Bridget is staring at the phone of the man she killed, when Andrew walks in after having just dropped off Juliet at the airport to go Miami to stay with her mom. Andrew tells Bridget (who he thinks is Siobhan) that he has a surprise for her and will give her the address of the place she needs to be at 11 am.
Bridget calls Malcolm who is on his way to an early class. He tells her that he doesn’t think it’s a good idea for her to stay in New York as Siobhan. They talk about the phone, and suggests she look for a serial number since there is no other data on the phone. She drops the phone, and finds a picture of Siobhan and Andrew together. The picture of Siobhan is the same one the hit man had on him when he attacked Bridget. This leads her to believe that Andrew is the person behind trying to have Siobhan killed (since he is cropped out of the picture, she believes that Andrew may be trying to keep his identity secret from the hit man). Malcolm says to make sure she gets proof that the picture and Andrew are connected before she makes any accusations.
Malcolm gets knocked out by someone after he gets off the phone, and wakes up to two men, and Macawi, the man Bridget was supposed to testify against. Malcolm is bloody and tells them he hasn’t talked to Bridget.
In Machado’s office, another officer tells him he can’t get a warrant to access Siobhan’s phone records. Machado says it’s important to get those records, because he believes that Siobhan is the key to finding Bridget.
Bridget is at a cell phone store, and the man tells her that what she has is a disposable phone. She lies and says she’s curious about the phone because she wants to check to see if her husband might be cheating. The man tells her that the phone has a SIM card, but your need high tech gear to read the info. off of it.
Next the episode goes to Paris, with a man in a bar trying to order a drink, but he doesn’t know French. Siobhan orders a drink for him, and he introduces himself as Tyler Barrett, and says he moved to Paris a month ago. The bartender asks if he is the one Siobhan is looking for…the man of her dreams, and she says hardly. He says he is an international banker. Siobhan then introduces herself as Cora Ferrel (not sure if the spelling is right). She says it’s getting late and has to go, and writes down her hotel name and room number and says “If you ever want a French lesson” and leaves.
Bridget arrives at the address that Andrew left for her in the morning. A large man is standing at the end of the alley she enters and starts approaching her, and then a black SUV pulls up on the other side. Bridget reaches for the gun in her purse and then Gemma appears and tells Bridget to come inside.
Inside the building is a bunch of women trying on clothing. A man approaches Bridget and Gemma said Andrew set up a fitting for Bridget as a thank you for the party (from last week’s episode).
Henry and Andrew are at Andrew’s office, and Henry tells him he wants to pull his investment from the company because he wants to self-publish, and needs the money for that.
Gemma tells Bridget that Andrew is taking her to the ballet tonight, even though he hates ballet. Bridget asks what his intentions are. Gemma tells her she is always looking for motivations behind everything Andrew does.
Bridget, Gemma and the man who was helping Bridget with the dress fitting all leave to go to lunch, and the hit man’s phone begins ringing from Bridget’s purse. She tells them to go ahead without her, and she’ll catch up.
A man working with the hit man tells Bridget to leave the phone on a bench and walk away. She hangs up, and puts it on the bench, but then decides to take it with her instead.
Bridget gets back home, and asks the operator if it’s possible to trace the last number that called the hit man’s phone, but the operator isn’t able to help her. She then tries to call Malcolm…
We then are back to Malcolm being beat up.
Gemma calls Bridget and asks why she never showed up to lunch, and Bridget says she had to go to a doctor appointment. Bridget looks through Siobhan’s appointment book, and finds a card in there, and Gemma tells her it’s for a well known divorce lawyer.
Olivia asks Andrew how he could just let Henry pull out his investment. Andrew tells her to let it go. But Olivia is interested in Gemma’s father because he has millions, and if Henry and Gemma pull out they can’t get her father on board.
Bridget is on her way up to the divorce lawyer, when she runs into someone who recognizes her as Siobhan, but Bridget doesn’t really know what to say, and says she and the woman should have lunch sometime, and the lady seems a little shocked/excited that Bridget/Siobhan would ask her.
Bridget talks to the lawyer, and he tells her that Siobhan had given the impression that she was scared of her husband, and the fighting had gotten so bad that maybe it had gotten physical. He tells her that it appears that Andrew may be trying to cheat her on some property, and she should find the original document, because it appears the photocopy may have been altered.
She gets back home, and Andrew walks in on her trying to find the original paperwork for the property and asks her why she went to go see a divorce attorney (he found out from Jack, the husband of the woman she ran into on the elevator…named Peggy Lewis). Bridget grabs a letter opener in case she would need it for defense, now scarred that maybe Andrew would try hurting her. He sees she is looking at the property in question and tells her that he has said before that the property is worthless, and if she doesn’t believe him she should go look for herself. He asks her why she can’t trust him, and says he thought things were getting better, but she doesn’t seem to want to try to work with him on fixing their relationship. He tells her she can take Gemma to the ballet instead.
Macawi is listening to the message that Bridget had left on Malcolm’s phone, and asks him where she was planning to go. Malcolm lies and says he doesn’t even know what she was talking about. Macawi says he doesn’t like loose ends and that’s why he’s still after Bridget even though she didn’t testify against him. Macawi asks how many years Malcolm has been sober.
We are then back at Andrew’s office, where Olivia is talking to Gemma, and asking what Gemma is doing there. Gemma says she was asked to come and sign some paperwork. It’s implied that Olivia purposely had her come to the office to make Gemma aware of Henry’s decision to pull his investment, and also asks how Gemma’s father is.
Bridget gets to the property in question, and finds out that Andrew was telling the truth about it being worthless. But then a man shows up (who was at the party in last week’s episode). He reveals that he is the one who got rid of the hit man’s body for her. She manages to get away from him and into a taxi, and then she makes a call to Agent Machado.
Machado meets with her and she asks how the search for “Bridget” is going, and he says they are getting closer everyday. Machado reveals that he knows that she had pulled out $50,000 from her bank account, missed appointments, and that she is having an affair with Henry. They part ways, and then the man calls Bridget again, and Bridget tells him that she wanted to make sure he saw that if she dies, Agent Machado will get the phone, and that it can be traced back to him…she says she just bought herself some insurance on her life.
Andrew is back at the office with Henry who is asking why Gemma was involved in the decision to pull the investment. Andrew tells Henry he doesn’t have any control over what Henry does and doesn’t tell Gemma. Henry leaves as Olivia is walking in, and Andrew tells Olivia to stop trying to manipulate things, or at least tell him what she is planning to do first.
Bridget goes to Gemma’s to drop off both ballet tickets. Bridget sees the same picture she had found of Siobhan and Andrew earlier in the episode. She asks Gemma why she has that picture, and Gemma tells her it was the picture Siobhan had sent out at Christmas time (causing Bridget to realize Andrew probably didn’t hire the hitman).
In Paris Siobhan and Tyler are in her room getting very “romantic”…all of a sudden, she pushes him out of the room, and says she’ll call him. She runs to the bathroom and throws up, and then she has a worried look on her face.
Bridget arrives at Andrew’s office in the custom dress he paid to have fitted for her. She explains that she went to the attorney a while ago when things were bad between them. She said she went today to call off the divorce, because she realized that she needs to trust him and stop listening to what others tell her, and asks for forgiveness. She tells him that the surprise fitting and trying to take her to the ballet was the nicest thing anyone had ever done for her. They promoise to try to be more honest with each other and hopefully get back to the relationship they used to have.
Macawi injects Malcolm with a drug of some sort (maybe heroin, I’m not sure).
Siobhan calls Henry with a positive pregnancy test (which Bridget already knew Siobhan was pregnant), but she doesn’t say anything to Henry on the phone.
Thoughts:
Unfortunately not a lot happened in this episode, since it mostly focused on relationship drama (though I suppose taht should be expected for this show). I’m hoping that in coming episodes though, there will be a lot more action. I really want to get behind Siobhan’s motives, and also start seeing Bridget get in some tougher situations trying to pull off being Siobhan. I know some big stuff will go down once the secret gets out, but I think we need to see some more tense situations happening in each episode, the way each of the previews make the episodes look like they will be.
