Mrs. Cooper aka Sheldon’s mom is in town for the weekend staying with Sheldon and Leonard.

Sheldon, Mrs. Cooper and Leonard go to a sushi restaurant. She begins to ask Sheldon about his relationship with Amy, to which Leonard replies “Well..it’s kind of like the Loch Ness monster. Maybe there is, maybe there isn’t. I don’t think we’ll ever know.” She then asks Leonard about his relationship, and tells him that he needs to figure out if he’s in a relationship or just calling it one.
They get back to the apartment, and Raj is sitting outside drinking. Mrs. Cooper asks Raj why he’s drinking, and he bursts into tears and says he’s so lonely, and she manages to comfort him and make him feel better.
Sheldon and his mom do laundry together, and Penny walks in. She goes through Penny’s clothes and asks Penny if the reason she’s having trouble finding a guy to settle down with is because she’s “letting them ride the roller coaster without buying a ticket?” Penny asks Mrs. Cooper to look at her outfit before she goes out for the night.
The guys, Penny and Mrs. Cooper are eating dinner together. Sheldon wants to take her to a lecture, but she says she wants to do some site-seeing. The group tries to convince him to take her, and he storms off saying everyone needs to stop ruining her visit with their “sushi, sadness, and slutty shirts.”

Mrs. Cooper makes breakfast the next morning, and Sheldon comes out and apologizes for the way he acted, and tells her again about the lecture, but she says she’s still going out with his friends for site-seeing. They begin to argue, and Sheldon storms off again.
Sheldon and Amy get back to her apartment and he says the lecture was a waste of time. Amy makes him realize that his bitter attitude is due to the fact that his mom isn’t making him a priority. He sneezes several times while at her place, but he insists he’s not getting a cold.
Mrs. Cooper takes the group on a tour or churches, and makes everyone pray while they are there. Penny prays that her brother stops cooking meth, Leonard prays for his relationship with Priya, Howard says he just doesn’t want to burst into flames, and Raj says he wishes he could loose his last five pounds (and Mrs. Cooper tells him he should have prayed for the ability to talk to women).
Sheldon is sitting outside, when a “common man” sits next to him, and he reflects on what Amy said about Sheldon being just like everyone else when it comes to emotions.
Sheldon gets back to the apartment where the group is making dinner. Mrs. Cooper realizes Sheldon is sick and says she will take care of her “baby” and he asks her to clarify that he is her only baby and not everyone else…she says of course and while walking to his bedroom he turns around and sticks his tongue out at the rest of the group.

She puts vapor rub on his chest, and then sings him “Soft Kitty.”
