Joss Whedon has some of the most dedicated fans you will ever find, and network cancellations don’t keep them down, even when the show they are still trying to get picked up was cancelled years ago. Well Firefly is one of those shows, that just will not die (and for good reason…check out the show and its movie Serenity). While there is no actual news, fans are buzzing at a blog post Nathan Fillion tweeted about, suggesting the idea of Firefly being brought to Netflix, the way Arrested Development is. I’m all for the idea, and the article does bring up some good points…fingers crossed!!
If you haven’t already heard, it has been announced that the new Avengers movie that Joss Whedon is directing, is going to be told from the perspective of Captain America. Whedon says he made this decision because, “I set out with a very simple problem: There is no reason for these people to be in the same movie,” he said. “So that’s what my movie has to be about. So much of the movie takes place from Steve Rogers’ perspective, since he’s the guy who just woke up and sees this weird ass world. Everyone else has been living in it.” (comicbookmovie.com). The movie is set to be released May 4.
Whedon also has a movie coming out April 13th, called Cabin in the Woods. Whedon hasn’t revealed much about the movie, but you can view the official trailer below!!
The trailer definitely has me intrigued, though I am a huge fan of Whedon, so I will be seeing this movie regardless!!
And if Whedon isn’t doing enough, he is also working on his next movie, a supernatural/romance titled In Your Eyes. Little is known about the film, except that actress Abigail Spencer will be the female lead. Read what she has to say about the movie here!
