Most TV shows have aired their season finales, so now begins Summer TV. Though Summer programming has improved over the last few years, it’s always Fall pilot season that I’m most excited about. So here are the top three shows (at least for now) that I’m most looking forward to watching come the Fall.
3. Arrow- The newest Superhero show hitting the CW, Arrow is not a spin-off of Smallville which aired for 10 years on the WB/CW network. The show gives a new take on the Green Arrow character from DC Comics, and the hero will simply be called Arrow. For a full description of the show, you can see my last post about it here. The show will be airing on Wednesday nights following Supernatural (moved from Fridays to a new night and time).
2. Revolution – Created by the super-writing team of J.J. Abrams (Lost, Fringe, Alcatraz) and Eric Kripke (Supernatural) and directed by Jon Favreau (Iron Man). The series begins with ALL power in the world being turned off…no cellphones, computers, cars, anything. The world has to adapt, and the reason behind the black out is unknown. Being a fan of both Lost and Supernatural I have high hopes for this series, though I hope it doesn’t become the next Terra Nova…big ideas but not big audiences or storylines. Check out the preview below for the series which will be airing on Monday nights.
1. 666 Park Avenue – The series I am most looking forward to this Fall is 666 Park Avenue, especially after seeing this trailer. The new supernatural series based on a book series, will be airing Sunday nights on ABC. The series focuses on a young couple who has just moved into the Drake apartment building, which is no ordinary apartment building. With a mysterious owner and lots of supernatural happenings, “at 666 Park Avenue, all of your dreams and burning desires can come true: wealth, sex, love, power, even revenge. But just be careful what you wish for, because the price you pay…could be your soul.”
