Lasting almost two and half minutes the teaser does a successful job of pumping up audiences for the movie set for release this coming November, which again stars Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen along with Josh Hutcherson, and Liam Hemsworth.

She became “interested in the project after reading the Shepard Boucher-penned spec script. (Boucher’s credits include serving as a staff writer on the TBS comedy Men at Work.)

The project will be shopped to the major networks in the coming weeks.

David Hemingson (How I Met Your Mother, Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23) and Margaret Riley (Love and Other Drugs) are attached as exec producers.”

Obviously nothing is set in stone at this point, but if this does happen it would be SMG’s first role as a leading lady in a comedy series.

As a huge SMG fan I’m really looking forward to this however, comedies are hard things to sell. It’ll be interesting to see if she has what it takes to make a hit comedy. Though as a mother of two now she’ll definitely have some real life experience to fall back on for this role.

But each show is now going to be seeing new episodes made, however they will not be airing on ABC any longer. The official press release that came out today stated:

We are pleased to confirm that Prospect Park is reviving the beloved soap operas, All My Children and One Life To Live as the anchor programs on The Online Network (TOLN). Today we are also pleased to confirm that Prospect Park has: 1) signed guild agreements with both SAG-AFTRA (Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists) and the DGA (Directors Guild of America); 2) entered into a consulting agreement with Agnes Nixon the creator of All My Children and One Life to Live guaranteeing her active involvement; 3) hired Foz McDermott (coordinating producer Heroes) as TOLN’s head of production, Jennifer Pepperman (Director, One Life to Live) as Executive Producer on One Life to Live, and Ginger Smith (Producer, All My Children) as Executive Producer on All My Children; and 4) arranged the necessary financing to begin production in February on both All My Children and One Life To Live.
We thank the loyal audience and new generation of fans of both shows who have demonstrated that passion and exciting story lines are not just reserved for traditional television. Their enduring support encouraged us to move forward each and every day. We look forward to sharing more details including our launch air date and additional specifics in the coming weeks.

Though this is something that has been rumored to be happening pretty much since before All My Children ended, this will be a big deal for these two soaps moving to a purely online presence (at least for now, guess they could always find a way back to TV). For the time being it is not really known which actors will be returning to the series, with the exceptions of “All My Children vets Lindsay Hartley, Vincent Irizarry and Debbi Morgan [who] have inked deals to reprise their roles.” (TVline.com)

Also released this week was the trailer for Tom Cruise’s new movie Oblivion. The movie also stars Morgan Freeman in a futuristic world where, “a court martial sends a veteran soldier to a distant planet, where he has to destroy the remains of an alien race. The arrival of an unexpected traveler causes him to question what he knows about the planet, his mission, and himself.” (IMDB) The movie will be released April 19th of next year.

And also set in a futuristic world is Will Smith’s new movie After Earth. Smith stars alongside his real-life son Jaden Smith. The movie set for release on June 7, 2013 is about a father and son who crash land on a planet that has been abandoned by humans for years…Earth. The movie looks interesting to me, but many people know that M. Night Shyamalan movies can be hit or miss. Take a look at the trailer, and leave your comments below!

Also released this week was the first poster for the much anticipated Star Trek: Into the Darkness. The sequel to the 2009 hit will be released May 17, 2013, with the first trailer rumored to be released online this Thursday according to Simon Pegg, who plays Scotty in the movie. Be on the look out for that, and check out the first poster to the right.
